My wife is applying for citizenship. I wanted to ask about the more than 90 days out of the country in the previous 12 months. Is the 12 month period the 12 months from the date you apply or does it keep rolling?
She will have been out of the country close to 90 days in the 12 months prior to applying. We are planning a holiday a month or so after applying that would take her over the 90 days out of the country. If the 90 days is still accruing whilst the application is in process she will then go over it.
There are reasons we need to do the application now. Ideally we would wait and apply when this would not be an issue.
