I hope you feel better soon.
I had the then current shingles vaccine shot back in 2015 and it had no side effect. I don’t know anyone who has had the shingrx shots which are supposed to be better protecting than it’s predecessor.
Yeah, it's (Shingrex) apparently good for at least 10 years ( that's as long as they have data for). It's a killed virus, rather than the weakened one they used to give in the one-shot protocol. The CDC is telling folks who need a shingles vaccine to get the new one even if they've already had the old one, and Medicare is paying for it. Which is good, because otherwise it would cost around $500 for the two-jab series as private pay!
So last night before I conked out I looked in the mirror and had huge bags under my eyes. (That seems to be happening a lot lately.) Went to sleep, woke up at like 5:00am with my arm hurting like heck. Bags were gone. Headache was gone. Brain fog is (I think) gone. Ears are fine. Sinuses are still a bit wonky. Was able to go over to the allotment to water the seeds and seedlings as it's going to be in the 90Fs here today and I didn't want them going too long without a drink at their size. Noticed some joint pain while doing that, and the moderately sore arm, and just a bit tired, but all-in-all not too bad at all.
Was reading that side effects can pop up much later though. As in weeks later. Eww. Well, it's still better than getting shingles. My grandmother had it and she also got the continued nerve pain syndrome that can sometimes follow it. No, thenk yew!
