I asked this in one of my earlier posts, but I think it may have been looked over. I am just double checking everything I have uploaded, and I wanted clarification.
So my partner has been continuously employed for more than the past year, but she switched employers a couple months ago for better pay and hours. (She had been working 3rd shift with 10 hour shifts at 7 days on and 7 days off rotation. Now she is in a Monday to Friday 9 to 5 office job and is so much happier.)
Since she has not been with the same employment for the past 6 months, but we have never dipped below the financial requirement, do I need to put a letter explaining the change in employer?
Her last job was also above the financial requirement. Will this change in employment cause our application issues?
Okay, as she has changed employers in the last 6 months, she will no longer qualify under Category A (more than 6 months with current employer) and will have to apply for the visa under Category B instead (less than 6 months with current employer).
This means she has to meet two requirements:
1) a current job paying at least £18,600 per year before tax
AND
2) a total of £18,600 earned before tax in the last 12 months, from any and all jobs held
And she will need to provide the following documents:
- 12 FULL months of payslips from both jobs (though 13 months are usually needed to make sure every day is covered)
- 12 FULL months of bank statements showing the deposit of every single payslip (though 13 months are usually needed to make sure every day is covered)
- a letter from her NEW employer stating all the following:
i)employment and salary
ii) length of employment
iii) length of time earning current salary
iv) type of employment
Plus, if any of her payslips were issued electronically, the letter will need to verify them
- job contract from the new job
- P60 from April 2021
And if any of the payslips from the old job were issued electronically, you will also need a payslip verification letter from the old employer too.
