Cheap Wedding Ideas

We too had a friend that asked everyone to bring a dish to the reception. Some people knocked themselves out, and it was a lot of fun as well as a nice sampling of great food.

We priced a cake at a local bakery and for a simple 2 layer sponge to feed approx 30 people it was over £200. We went to Mark's and Spencer's instead and paid less than £45 (I think) for a 2 layer sponge Celebration cake with a buttercream and jam filling and had a fair bit left over.
