Bow area?
« on: February 15, 2005, 04:30:56 PM »
My wife's new job is located near the Bow tube station.   We're firm believers in living where you work. Anybody know anything about this area? Average rent for a 1-br flat? Safety? Nightlife?  Leisure activities?  Any other (better?) nearby neighborhoods we should check out? Thanks!

Bow is in the East End of London, north of Isle of Dogs (Canary Wharf area).  I'm not sure about rent, but it is cheaper than West and North London, but due to the emergence of the Docklands, the prices maybe going higher.  I don't know if there is much nightlife in this area, most things are in central London, though getting to central London from Bow should not be an issue (tube, DLR).

Don't really know the area, went to a party there in 1986!
