It's that time...

I was just reminded that the Mother's Day thing is coming up fast here in the UK (6 March)...and if you want a mother's day card for your US moms, it might be the time to buy now!!!  Yes, we have different days for mother's day and you won't be able to find a card here for the US date (8 May)!

I was wondering why I was seeing that last week at Asda - I thought it was early, haha.

Yep - March about kills me.  Between getting the Mother's Day stuff from me & hubby & kids for my mother-in-law, and the stuff for my mother, and then remember where I've stashed my mother's stuff so I can send it off in time in May....ARGH!  Calgon, take me away!  ;)

Good idea. When I have seen the displays I thought to myself that I would have to wait for my cards from my kids in the states...but never thought that I should buy for my mom NOW to send later on! Thanks for pointing that out!

Just a thought--I always send mom a "Mothering Sunday" card for the UK holiday then another one for Mother's Day in the states.  My mom really enjoys it, and I think that it makes her feel that much more important (she is the best Mom in the whole wide world, so I think she deserves it  ;D).

Just a thought...

Well I'm off to make a homemade mothers day card to send to england since it is too early to buy here! And also wondering if I'll get two mother's day cards this year? :)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

Not to knock the idea of home-made cards...but you could always ask.  Smaller card shops sometimes have their stock in early, just in the back.  I did that the years I was still in the US to send to Phil's mum here.
