Hi
I'm actually emailing from NYC! Yippeee! It's so great to be back (unfortunately only for a visit) and everyone is having the chance to meet my daughter. But I digress. Last year was the first time that I hd to file taxes from the UK and I just found out from my father, who did my taxes, that he put the wrong amount as my salary. He forgot to convert it to dollars, although I sent him an email with it in pounds and the conversion rate. Anyway, when we put in the correct amount for this year it's of course going to be nearly double last year's amount. Is this going to cause a problem? Should I notify the IRS that last year's amount was incorrect? I don't make anywhere near the amount that would qualify me to pay taxes in the USA, with or without the conversion being done.
Thanks.
