WELCOME back to the US.. Yeahhhhhhh whatever lol

Well everyone, I got back from England on Sunday...let me tell you how my lovely day went on April 3rd!!!
Michael and I woke up at 5:50... I was packed by 6:15 and we left about 6:50... ten minutes down the road, were on the highway and I remembered that I'd left my wallet in his jacket.  So we had to go back to get it - left again around 7:10.. Yeah, well we get to the airport about 8:10...and I'm in the check-in until 8:50.  My plane was scheduled to take off at 9:40, but we didnt leave until 10:40... and apparently they were looking for people to fly on April 4th instead because they OVERBOOKED the flight!! But I had to come home.  So we get to Newark at approximately 1:10 pm.  Not too bad, considering they figured we'd get there at 1:30 compared to our original 12 pm arrival.  Once in Newark, everything went downhill from there.  Got through customs and immigration fine then headed to where my plane was suppose to take off from - gate 94.  Well the screens sad gate 139...okay sure. So I walk to gate 139 and theres a woman there who says that her plane to Ecuador takes off at 4:30 from that gate, and my flight was supposed to leave at 4:30...so I head back to gate 94 and ask the lady there who says 'You are leaving from Gate 94'... so I start to feel like this -  - and walk to 139 and sit there after buying a book and something to eat (his parents had given me $100 before I left as gift, because they knew Id have no money when I got back)...well 4 pm arrives and my plane is due to take off at 4:30 and arrive in Cleveland at 6:15... we dont LEAVE Newark until 6:20 -- from gate 126!!!!!! I was pretty upset by then -  Then on the runway the pilot says 'we're going to be sitting here for about 25 minutes at the least because Cleveland is backed up'... lol everyone on the plane was like "Oh My God!"... but we got into Cleveland at 7:30 pm and it took them 20 minutes to get the luggage off the plane....then I came home at 9 pm to find out I was working at 7 am the next morning.. I was NOT a happy camper..
And I miss Michael, like crazy.  The moment I left him I just felt this incredible sadness...and its not gone away.. I emailed him back when I got home becasue hed emailed me and I talked to yesterday and am talking to him now, but its just not the same.. I am trying real hard to keep my mind on working and perhaps getting back into school here in the US - which I may be able to... His parents did invite me back in August for his dad's 51st bday, and he may come see me over the summer once his exams are over... so I know Ill get to see him again - I just wish it was today...

That really sucks! I know how you feel. Last summer I left England  on my birthday. My plane got delayed EIGHT hours in Chicago. So I didn't get back to Tennessee until past 11pm. (and ended up spending my entire birthday on a plane/in an airport all alone) That was the worst day of my life. I wanted to be back in England, I didn't want to go back to TN, and to make it even better, I was stuck in an airport.

Well, bad travel happens!!!  Sorry to hear of your travel headache and that you miss your BF, I can relate to that.  At least you are home safe and the trip seems to be a success.

Maddierose - I agree, bad travel happens.. I just had to vent lol it just made a bad day (leaving my bf) worse. thats all.  and Im glad to be home safe, I didnt think Id quite make it there for a few moments 

Angie - sorry to hear that a bday went to so bad     I have to admit being stuck wasnt was made me mad.. it was more that I was already sad about leaving my BF and it just made it worse that everything was going so wrong! lol but I'm ok now - just a tad tired still
