Hiyall.
I have posted a similar question some time ago and couldnt really find anyone on this forum who has actually applied for the EEC1 residence permit.
I need specific information relating to this application...and as a genreal rule, i know applications can take 13 weeks to 6 months.
It has now been 14 weeks and we have yet to hear from the home office regarding our EEC1 application. I am Austrian married to an American and we are both applying for the residence permit ( i know they will issue me with an I.D. card as an EU national and my hubby will get a 4-5 year residency stamp on his passport ). I was thinking about sending the home office a letter requesting they expedite the application but not sure what would be an effective reason ( in their eyes ) to get them to review the application sooner than later. We need to make trips overseas but i dont want them to return our passports prematurely.
There must be something we could say that could get them to take notice of our application :-(
Any good ideas anyone ?
