National Ins. Number Gone?
« on: May 14, 2005, 11:25:38 PM »
Hi,

I lived and worked in Scotland in 2001, and while there had my interview to get my permanent NIN.  I never received anything in the mail, and due to some situations, moved home a couple months later.

So I don't know if anything was ever mailed to my flat. It is a couple years later, and I may want to move back to the UK to work.  How will I go about getting this number again?

Would I have to reapply?  Thanks so much!!

If they issued you a number, they'll have a record of it and that's the number you'll use.  It's like your Social Security number - the same one is yours for life.
