The qualifying matches are still being played, so we dont know yet.
Although I think it's pretty safe to say that Scotland will probably not be there!  :\\\'(

Germany are in the WC as they are the host.  Hopefully, England qualifies.

I wouldn't hold out too much hope for the Faroe Islands  ;)

Here's a link about the qualification matches being played.

Can the Scotland team and the England team both acquire the qualification to Worldcup? But they do both belong to the Great Britain!

Actually, Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland all have the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup and they are all part of Great Britain.  Each of these countries has its own Football Association.

Actually NI is not part of Great Britain.  :)  And out of these teams, only England has a realistic chance of making the WC.

As it stands now the following teams look good to qualify for '06...

Netherlands, Czech Republic, Ukraine(!!!), Portugal, Italy, Poland, England, Spain, Croatia

The following teams, if they play in good form should have a decent chance of qualifying:

Romania, Turkey, Greece, Slovakia, Russia, Israel, Serbia/Montenegro.

UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) receives 13 entrants in Germany 2006 - the winner of each of the 8 qualifying groups as well as the best 2 runners up receive automatic berths, the remaining 2nd place teams are paired up and play 2-legged matches with the winners moving on to Germany)
