I have this same problem - vegetarian and I don't like most of the salad dressings here.  I really dislike most Italian/vinegar based dressings so that doesn't leave much over here.  I am thinking of bringing some of my own next time (lame, I know, but it will help me enjoy salads more at home).  I especially miss RANCH...yum.

Excuse me??!?! No ranch dressing in the UK?  :o Please, oh please, tell me you're lying :(

If you bring the packets of Hidden Valley Ranch mix, it takes up a lot less room in your suitcase!   ;D

Yes!  I will definitely do that!

Well, not quite - I think we bought some at our Morrisons back before it became a Waitrose but I sure haven't found anything remotely like ranch since then.  Anyone have any suggestions of where to get it (other than in the US)?

I buy fresh ranch dressing in Morrisons all the time... it's in the produce section, near the packaged salads, rather than in the salad dressing aisle.   Someone said Tesco has it too...

Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons all carrry Newmans Own Ranch.

I'm not terribly fond of Morrison's Ranch but it does the trick when you're in a bind. Tesco's is quite nice, though.
