Well these are the things that I'm thinking of! :)  Does anyone know where I can find the pass/fail rates of different testing centres?  For instance, I may very likely take my lessons & test in the Harrogate area instead of Leeds -- in the hopes that things will go a little more smoothly (city streets in Leeds being more urban & spaghetti-like).

If you take lessons, these are questions your instructor should be able to help you with. I didn't have a choice about which test centre to use as there's only one in my area, but my instructor gave me lots of good advice about times, etc. He also knew all the examiners and was able to give me pointers about their personalities! When are you planning to take the plunge?

Scaredy cat here! :P  I need to sign up for some lessons though & get underway -- definitely asap.  (Also hubby's car is total crap -- the gears don't work properly with shifting, etc -- so half the battle there is just fighting with the car...never mind paying attention to the road.  Hopefully, we are going to trade it in -- he agrees -- shortly after I start working, with more £££ coming in.)

I know I have an article around here *somewhere* with last years rates, but I can't find it. :(

You can find the 1997-2003 rates here
