Converted Warehouse Flats In London

Hi everyone,   We will be looking for housing in a few weeks in Central London.   Borough is where we will be looking.  I seem to find loads a converted warehouse type flats.   Does anyone live in one?  Do you know anyone who has? Are they OK? Too big too small?  I like the idea of an open plan Kitchen.  We have always done alot of entertaining here in NY.  Would that type of place be good for entertaining?   Thanks
