S/he is going to be one beautiful baby!

I wasn't planned. It's actually up to the both of you whether you want this baby or not. ;-)

If the father is behind it? Go for it. He must be lovely. Magic. How solid is he financially?

Well, thank you! I am lovely!! And as for finances, I have a steady job and extra income from photography work, so we should be ok.

Thanks, all, for the congrats. ;D

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Congratulations! My last two were ''unplanned'' (I was on the pill) but I wouldn't trade them in for anything! (Though having twins at age 35 was a lot more tiring than having the other three singletons in my early 20's, so you might feel a bit worn out afterwards, the actual pregnancy wasn't hard at all (other than multiple complications) BTW...did you know the instance of twining goes up a lot during mid-30's? Especially if the mother has had several births previously...not trying to ''scare you'' or anything! So, how are the older siblings taking the news? Will there be a big age gap there?

Best wishes for an easy pregnancy!

Congratulations!! I'm a big believer that there's never a "perfect time" - there's always something that you think could be just a little bit more perfect. You'll be fine!!!  :D

Thank you all for your wonderful congratulations and best wishes.  Jamie and I really appreciate it.  And, Alicia, thanks for sharing that sweet visual. ;D

I have to say it is such a blessing to have a husband who is truly supportive in everything.  My first husband (husbeast, as Ricki would say) was never there for me either emotionally, physically, or financially.  Jamie, on the other hand, is a rock for me emotionally and physically.  Though we are both concerned about the finances (I more than Jamie), we will make it somehow....

Now, to answer a few questions:

Is this your first?

It is Jamie's first, but I have two daughters from a previous marriage; they live in the States, unfortunately.  I have, however, as preciously stated, carried to term three times, as I was surrogate for my sister after I had had my two daughters.  As for how they are taking the news and the age gap:

So, how are the older siblings taking the news? Will there be a big age gap there?

I haven't told them yet, on the advice of my mother, who knows that nine months is a looooooong time to wait for a child.  So, I will wait - a few months at least - to break the news to them.  I am not sure how they will react.  The youngest one has - in the past - expressed a desire for Jamie and me to have a little brother or sister for her.  But, seeing as the baby will of course get to be with me, while they cannot be at this time, it may make them more sad than happy...I just don't know. :-\\\\

The oldest is 11 and the other one will be 9 in October.

I told my "manageress" (that word cracks me up) at work today, she took the news well.  I have yet to tell the area manager yet, but I think she will be really happy for us both.  The owner, on the other hand, is another subject all together...LOL...but, he is on holiday for three weeks, so I don't have to deal with him right now.
I was born in the Summer and at Night...my mother named me AUTUMN DAWN.  True story.

Jamie's...beyond the stars and past eternity.

;D Key of Three, good one!

Thanks again to everyone for all the warm congrats.  Hopefully I will have a doctor (or midwife) soon.  Jamie picked up the documents we have to fill out to get me registered with the doctor, so we will fill them out tonight and stick them through the mail-slot tomorrow morning. Here's to hoping that they won't take until forever to see me since my area manager needs info from the doctor to get all the stuff rolling so that I will get maternity benefits (which is VERY good).

I did tell my area manager today, and she offered me the option of going back to part-time (due to the fact that the part-time person that we got in just recently has to leave to take care of her sick father).  I just got the full-time job - and we need the money - but, after discussing it with Jamie - we both feel that it would be best for me to go back to part-time so that I won't completely exhaust myself, and I will still be bringing some money in.  I would have attempted to stay with working full-time had Jamie asked me to, but he is wonderful and he knows that it would be better for me to be able to handle it, still bringing in some money, rather than not being able to handle it and just quitting, which would mean I would be bringing no money in and wouldn't get any benefits.

So...that's the latest.  Stay tuned!
