Thank you all for your wonderful congratulations and best wishes. Jamie and I really appreciate it. And, Alicia, thanks for sharing that sweet visual.
I have to say it is such a blessing to have a husband who is truly supportive in everything. My first husband (husbeast, as Ricki would say) was never there for me either emotionally, physically, or financially. Jamie, on the other hand, is a rock for me emotionally and physically. Though we are both concerned about the finances (I more than Jamie), we will make it somehow....
Now, to answer a few questions:
Is this your first?
It is Jamie's first, but I have two daughters from a previous marriage; they live in the States, unfortunately. I have, however, as preciously stated, carried to term three times, as I was surrogate for my sister after I had had my two daughters. As for how they are taking the news and the age gap:
So, how are the older siblings taking the news? Will there be a big age gap there?
I haven't told them yet, on the advice of my mother, who knows that nine months is a looooooong time to wait for a child. So, I will wait - a few months at least - to break the news to them. I am not sure how they will react. The youngest one has - in the past - expressed a desire for Jamie and me to have a little brother or sister for her. But, seeing as the baby will of course get to be with me, while they cannot be at this time, it may make them more sad than happy...I just don't know.
The oldest is 11 and the other one will be 9 in October.
I told my "manageress" (that word cracks me up) at work today, she took the news well. I have yet to tell the area manager yet, but I think she will be really happy for us both. The owner, on the other hand, is another subject all together...LOL...but, he is on holiday for three weeks, so I don't have to deal with him right now.
