Hiya Guys and Gals from a total newbie.
« on: October 09, 2003, 08:35:45 AM »
Hi all,
I am currently in California and have lived here for 12yrs, I am married to a Surfer Dude!  8) Just recently we bought a home in Manchester and will be moving to the Uk within the next 6mths. I was born and raised in Manchester and am looking forward.... although nervous... to my return. It's not me I worry about but my blond American sun-loving husband, I'm just hoping he doesn't suffer from too much home sickness, he has visited the Uk several times and loves it, my family loves him even more and we will be living just a couple of streets over from them. We both love this site as it has answered so many questions for us, plus it will be a great way to meet other Americans living in the UK......   Joanne

Welcome Joannel!  I hope the move goes smoothly.  California is beautiful and definately blessed in the weather department.  It must be a good feeling to be moving back closer to your family. Hope to see more posts from you and your husband. :)

Hi Joanne, I'll add my welcomes here too.  From your other post I think you will be a very popular person!  You may noticed that lots of people love Mexican food but can't seem to find some authentic dishes.  So I'm sure there will be great interest soon!

I think we can all sympathize with missing the sun!  Pretty soon its gonna be rain and snow here so I get it I truely do.  lol

Hey there Joanne!

Fellow Californian here and I can say that while it is definitely lacking in the weather department here, there are other things to make up for it! Not the least of which I'm sure is that fact that you'll get to be near family and friends again. I'm sure you're very happy and excited about that!

Welcome!
