Another Ipod question
« on: August 24, 2005, 04:43:01 PM »
OK, I know how to transfer songs and all that to the Ipod.  My question is how do you transfer cd audio books?  I tried one and it was not in order.  Any ideas?

What format was the book in?  That may be the problem - it could be in a format iTunes doesn't use.  All my audiobooks are MP3.

Okay, I'm stumped.  Wait, I just re-read your post... is it in the computer, but not in the correct chapter order, or not loading onto the computer at all?

LOL, not in the right chapter order.  It has 4 discs, so it plays chapt 1 from each disc, then 2 and so on instead of 1 through 10 on the first then the 2nd.

Create a playlist with the correct order.

Create a playlist with the correct order.

You can do that?  It will not re-order?  I'll try!  Thank you!

When you pulled it off the CD did iTunes retrieve the CD information from that online database?  If so it should have noted the genre as audiobook and filed it apporpriately.

Another question, you don't have iTunes set to shuffle do you?

Nothing good ever comes from a bad attitude.

Could you imagine? You're listening to one chapter that is at the start, and then all of a sudden all this other stuff is going on and you're halfway through it, puzzled as hell, before it dawns on you......OOOOOHHH jeez, that's like, chapter 20!!! Doh! It would be a funny dumbass moment - anyway if it happened to me when I finally twigged onto the reason for confusion, I'd be giggling about it. :)

 ;D

I noticed it as it was being copied, so I took it off right away.  It would have been hysterical though
