Seychelles
« on: September 22, 2005, 03:57:24 PM »
Has anyone ever been to the Seychelles, or even know someone who's been there?  The more I see about it, the more it looks like my ideal vacation spot.  (And I have a honeymoon to plan . . . .  Hmmm . . .    ;D)
I wonder if it was affected badly by the tsunami, though.
Thanks for any input.

The Blairs used to holiday there.  It is meant to be very beautiful but the flight is something like 12 or more hours from London.

Any idea where they stayed, by chance?

I haven't been to the Seychelles but I've looked into it when I lived in Kenya. It is supposed to be incredible.

Go through a travel agent and you should be fine. It is quite expensive and the tourist market is focused on mid to high accomodations. Packages generally cover flight and accomodations...  if you tried to book them separately you will see that flights are only twice a week or so. Something else to consider especially if flying isn't your thing, planes will be on the smaller side... usually charter flights- so make sure you ask about the size of the plane so you don't get any unexpected surprises   :P
