Capital Gains on UK Houses
« on: September 01, 2005, 11:39:08 AM »
Question- in the US when you sell a house you do not need to pay capital gains on the profit (if you've lived there for 2 out of the last 5 years, and if the profit was less than $500,000).  Is this the same in the UK?

You don't have to pay capital gains taxes if it is your primary home.
