Is it me?
« on: September 04, 2005, 11:08:29 AM »

Is it me?

I have never seen such a pack of jealous, controlling, envious, uptight, frustrated and argumentive women as this group.

Women are supposed to support one another--not attack. An expat woman knows how to behave. They do not fight like you women do. You're not expats. You are immigrants.

"The artist is not a person endowed with free will who seeks his own ends, but one who allows art to realize its purposes through him. As a human being he may have moods and a will and personal aims, but as an artist he is 'man' in a higher sense - he is 'collective man', a vehicle and molder of the unconscious psychic life of mankind"

Seagoddess, your posts are like traps.. You bait the trap with your ridiculous, boring, pretentious, delusional, BS and just wait for people to respond negatively so you can pounce. I wish EVERYONE would ignore your "traps".

Also, I can promise you....PROMISE you none of us are jealous. The PM's are flying about how ridiculous your posts are.

Besides, if you are so rich and powerful, attractive and fit and thin...why the hell do you spend so much time on here AND better yet why would you even care what a bunch  "jealous, controlling, envious, frustrated and argumentative" think about you?

Now, put down the bong, honey and come back to reality!

This is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black. You yourself come across as boastful, arrogant, delusional, and wanting to start arguments. You also take subtle digs at people for no reason. So yes, it IS you.
Plans on hold 'cuz Brexit

I know you've had some problems on this site, Seagoddess.  But I think that the thing to look at is why it seems you're always getting into an argument?  Because there are hundreds of women who come to this site everyday for years and manage to get along.  We've had our disagreements and occasional scuffle but it is unusual to get in so many fights.  Usually when that happens it's something the person in the middle of it is doing.
One of the problems is that sometimes a new person doesn't like the vibe on the forum or doesn't like the way things are done.  And instead of saying-okay, I'll give it a while to settle down or go else where, they immediately start campaigning for change.  This forum has been around for a few years now, this is the way it's run.  If you're not happy with it, I'm afraid it's you who has to give, not the rest of the forum.  There are unmoderated forums out there or if you're looking for a new forum with little history then you'll have to start your own.
Because the thing you have to remember about forums is that we're like elephants-we have VERY long memories.  We're also unfortunately very unforgiving.  If someone starts off on a bad foot or goes after a popular long term member chances are the rest of the forum are going to keep that in mind for a long long time.  And if that person continues with the wind-up the other members are going to rise to the bait.  Because forum members tend to be very protective of what they consider a 'safe' place.
Now there are currently thousands of topics on this forum, if you want to join in the community feel free to join in on-topic discussions.  But if you're sticking around just for you own amusement then I suggest looking elsewhere.

MeShell, my bell...doll:

Women attacking without reason. Acting like cats. We are Gaia. We hold this planet up. An expat woman always behaves well.

You know this as I do.

Everything you live *through* is you.

If this is true, and I am living through you via the computer, where do I end and you begin? Where do you end and I begin? Are you me? Am I you? If it is you, then is it me? If it isn't you, then who am I?

Sorry you feel this way and I'm not going to respond with insulting remarks because it only reaffirms what you believe we are...which is quite harsh to generalize all of us like that.

The only thing I can wish for you is to perhaps find somewhere else that you feel more comfortable because to make quite a inflammatory remark like that will inevitably just categorize you someone to avoid responding to.

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.
