Ultratone-Do you Dare me?
« on: September 05, 2005, 02:47:41 PM »
So I have an Ultratone center near me.  It sells all of their systems.

they are looking for 10 people to participate in a study.  Essentially every week they would take my before picture and then have me go through an hour session.  I don't think i'd get paid, but i always claim these things to be complete rubbish..this would be my chance to prove them wrong

do i want to devote 10 hours of my life to this?  Here is the website:

I agree, go for it! It looks interesting and you'll have some fun stories to share about the experience I bet  ;D

:\\\'( That woman on the website...her perfect body...I think I've got post-traumatic stress.

I'll be in therapy for months to get my self-esteem back to zero!

Oh, the humanity...

is the ultratone the thing that sends electrical impulses in order for your muscles to contract as they would  were you exercising ???how pain tolerant are you?? why I ask is because it's not exactly a painless process..I haven't experienced it personally but I've seen people purchase those belt thingies and then not keep up the routine..it's NOT very painful but mildly discomforting to say the least

...it's gonna slightly tinge so it might cause you to discontinue doing it

I'm sure that woman with the perfect body got it through a personal trainer and oodles of time devoted to exercising not that ultratone... that's my theory:-\\\\

I'd say if you've got time and they are not going to try some scheme to get you to buy their product...I say try it out.

see that's what i was thinking alicia, i mean, if it's so great then why isn't everyone forgoing the gym and lazing around on their couch hooked up to machines!

and i'm not good with pain....i guess i thought it would be a good try to actually prove my theory that they are rubbish!

I had a go on one of those machines the day of my wedding!
I asked my mum to book me in for a seaweed wrap and I got that instead!
Its not so bad, a bit weird, you're tummy does feel like its being squished around a lot but you get used to it. If you've ever had electrolysis, given birth or had a tattoo then I wouldn't worry this will be a breeze.
I lost an inch during my session, can't remember how long it was, but can't say I noticed any change, I was mesured before and after. Its more of a quick fix, definitely not a long term thing.  Go for it, can't do you any harm.
