Hello.
  My fiance is in the IT field, unix administrator and currently lives in London where there are lots of IT jobs.  We are thinking of staying there for that reason but I guess I'd like to explore our options.  If you know, how's the IT market where you live?  I'm a city girl so a small village won't do, it has to be a decent sized town :)

I'm in IT within the financial industry in London and as you said there are many jobs here.  Other areas which should have IT jobs are Reading/Maidenhead area and Glasgow.

Around Cambridge is also supposed to be quite a good area for this.

Leeds is also very good for IT, but I don't know if you'd consider a move up north.
