you can go online and sign up for a month trial of www.which.com.  it's a consumer reports for the UK.  very helpful... you can search through their database for washers, dishwashers, mail-order seed catalogs, etc.... just remember to cancel the trial b/f the months up.

I ordered the items earlier in the week..but I will keep Which in mind for future reference-thanks for the tip!
I'll let everyone know how the items hold up...went with the Liebherr larder fridge (since I needed one that was 50cm wide and would fit under the counter) a Zanussi small chest freezer, and a 1600 spin Zanussi washer.  No room for dryer and like others posted in another thread, don't care for the combo units.

Good idea to keep the manuals in an easy to find place - and write down specific model number of your appliance.  Many manuals are for multiple models - and if your machine needs parts in future...well it's not an easy thing if the model number can't be found.  ;)  Also good to note where the appliance is plugged in.

:D
Ask and ye shall be babbled at.
