Forgive me if something like this has already been asked -- I did a search and couldn't find anything on it.
Anyway, basically I was still legally married to my ex when I met my fiance. We had been split up for months, but no legal separation or divorce papers were filed until nearly a year later. I'm still waiting for it to be finalized.

Basically, the marriage ended as a result of an infidelity on his part, and at his request...but he refused to pay to file. At the time he told me this, I was already saving up to go to the UK (this was before my fiance and I got involved, though we'd been friends for about a year online). I decided to wait until I got home from the UK to file, to make sure I had enough money for my trip as I was REALLY paranoid about that (I'd never been out of the US before, and had no idea how much I would need...turns out I way way WAY overbudgeted, but better safe than sorry!).
My fiance and I got romantically involved before I went to the UK, and ended up really serious (well, obviously since we're planning on getting married!) when I got there. I have all the needed pictures, e-mails, credit card receipts of hotels we stayed at, etc. We've known each other for two years, have been a couple for nearly a year, all that good stuff. The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that I waited so long to file for divorce. Do you all think this might cause any issues with my visa application? I mean, it'll be finalized before I submit it...but I was thinking it just might raise eyebrows since it's so soon after it being all final.

It is what it is, and there's no changing it...I'm just stressing myself out over it, and I think I might be needlessly doing so!
