Pay-as-you-drive insurance
« on: November 03, 2005, 12:40:56 PM »
Does anyone here have one of these pay-as-you-drive policies for your auto insurance? I just learned today that it exists and I'm wondering how it's working out for people. I currently drive my car less than 10 miles a week. It's a little more in the warmer weather when we like to drive to the Lake District and other close places for hikes and stuff but it's still not many miles.

I'm interested in hearing how others like this if there's anyone here using it.

Looks like Norwich Union is doing a trial of it for 18-23 year olds.  I'd be quite interested to see what they come up with as we don't use our car that much and it seems a bit rich to pay £32 per month for the occasional jaunt to the store.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

Aww...that sucks. Hopefully they'll open it up to everyone soon. It sounds like it'd be a much better deal.
