My first week at work comes to an end....

This is my first day off. It's been a really tiring week for me, I was getting too used to hanging about the house all day with nothing to do. I made some sales all by myself yesterday for the first time. I sold a few iPods and got some people to reserve one. They're really hard to get hold of. Anyway, I've been getting more comfortable with approaching people. I like my co-workers and the job. I'm also taking a little Apple Sales online training course. Things are FINALLY coming along smoothly.  :)

You aren't working on commission are you? I thought Apple employees were hourly so they could be free to help everyone with questions and not just make sales. I like that philosophy because it makes me a happier consumer not feeling the pressure to buy buy buy!  :P

We do get comission.. But it's not individual, though. We get an hourly rate as well. We aren't pressured to make anyone buy things, which I like. We just show the product and if they don't want, no big deal. We offer our brochure to take away so they can have a look at what we sell.

Thanks!  My parents bought my sister one in the US, just wanted to see the price difference.

Everything is so much more expensive in the UK. I wish I could order Jamie's ipod from the US and have my mom mail it... I actually might do that.
