Looking for some advice on the Certificate of Approval...the document you need to get married if you're currently on a different visa. I'm getting married at the end of January, before my current student visa runs out.
I sent the forms for the COA in about 5-6 weeks ago and dont have them back yet. The only problem is I need to travel home to the States in about 3 1/2 weeks and I need my passport back!
Anyone know if the process can be expedited and how to best ask that to happen? And how long has it taken other people to get theirs? (They say they process 70% in 3 weeks, but I'm not sure if I should believe that ...)
