Cream of Wheat and hot cereals
« on: November 24, 2005, 09:57:07 AM »
I know that they don't have Cream of Wheat here.  Do they have anything similar, or is oatmeal going to be the only kind of hot cereal that I find?

you can get Cream of Wheat at Let's Eat (shop in Milton Keynes or website www.letseatdirect.com)

Also try Ready Brek - it's not quite Cream of Wheat but it's closer than oatmeal.

Actually I believe Redi Brek is in fact just a finely ground oats.

It is.

They do sell semolina here, which is what Cream of Wheat is.

I thought Cream of Wheat was farina.  Is that the same as semolina?

Well texture-wise it's closer to Cream of Wheat anyway.

They have Quaker brand oatmeals and hot cereals. Same as at home if you are looking for warm, wintery comfort food. Though instead of Maple and Brown Sugar it's just Maple. Yum.

I buy quinoa and millet in Holland & Barrett and make hot cereal breakfasts from that as well.

UGHHH

"Cocoa Wheats Cocoa Wheats can't be beat... it's the creamy, hot cereal with a cocoa treat... to be big and strong...

AHHHHH!  That gets stuck in my head sooo badly every time the commercial comes on.  Has anyone had Cocoa Wheats?
