Spousal Visa Question - ID
« on: December 10, 2005, 10:21:22 AM »
I am going to give a go at sending in my application for a spousal visa.  My question is since I have to send in my passport, what becomes my form of picutre ID?  I have my driver's license from NJ with my old address on it, but don't think that would cut it here.

Any advice?  Thanks!

I have to send my passport off as well. What I've done is scanned my passport photo page and my fiance visa into the computer and printed it out, so in case its ever questioned who I am, I can provide that

We don't have our scanner set up yet as my hubby is not that technically savvy (even though we met online!!) and I've had to come in and "nerdify" the place!!!  So, what I've done is copied everyting (fiance visa, passport photo and number....).  Thanks for the advice!

I've actually used my old PA drivers license as picture ID several times and it's always accepted.

i've used my NJ licence several times- it's still valid though.  wonder what they'd do if it was expired.

Around here especially in pubs they wont accept anything but passports or UK drivers license. The one time  I got id'd I was at a club and she stared at my license for ages until I just handed her my passport instead :P

/I wish someone Id'd me again, I havent got Id'd in ages...makes me feel so old :(

I know how you feel EnglandsYank!!!!  I'm 37 and was thinking more about banks, etc.  But if someone wants to id me in a put - yay!!!!  I do have my NJ drivers' license, but I have not had luck using that so far at the bank and other places that had wanted it.

Soooooo, I'll use a combo of the DL and the Passport copies.  I was thrilled that 70% are granted in 4 weeks!  I hope I'm one of those!
