Need crafty ideas for a child recovering from illness

We spent the past weekend at Royal Hampshire County Hospital with our oldest-she has pneumonia.  She was treated very well by staff and is recovering.   No school for her this week.   
I've pretty much run out of ideas to keep her busy besides watching TV all day.  We have made angels that we saw on Blue Peter.
Does anyone have any craft ideas?  Keep in mind that I lack the craft gene    She is 4 and her younger sister is 2.    I'm hoping to go on short walks tomorrow or Friday but she is still getting quite winded going up the stairs.

How about decorating plain butcher paper w/rubber stamps and finger paints for Xmas?  Or making snow globes from jars, decorating plain Xmas baubles, stockings, etc.?

What about having her make cards for the people that helped her at the hospital. You can do it simple with just crayons and paper or get fancy with glitter and cut outs from magazines and paint.

You could:

~Cut snowflakes out of cofee filters.
~String large beads to make necklaces/keychains/whatever (pasta works well for this too!)
~Can play around on nickjr.com or sesamestreetworkshop.com (the four year old I sit for loves looking at dora etc...they have craft ideas/pages to print and color too)
~let her make Christmas/other holday presents for people.

Thank you for all the wonderful ideas!  I was planning on sending the staff at the hospital a thank you card- so I can add a picture from my daughter. 
She is really wanting to go outside.  I think tomorrow we will try to deliver some Christmas cards.

Expat, how do you make snow globes from jars?  I have not made it to the bottle bank lately so I have a few jars.   However, they don't have lids...

'God's Eyes' are a good craft, too. They can be great christmas decorations and it's fun for the kids to choose yarn colors.
