Period-like cramps
« on: December 16, 2005, 09:22:10 PM »
I've seen a few people comment on this, but I thought I'd start a thread to get more opinions.  I'm having minor period-like cramps and am hoping that's normal.  I'm going to a Dr. on Monday, so I will ask the question, but with such wealth of knowledge here, I'd love to hear your experiences.

Completely totally NORMAL!!!!  I had them for weeks!  Then comes the fun sharp pains when your uterus starts getting bigger.  FUN!

Totally normal.  And they can happen throughout your pregnancy, which makes it all the more fun.  I actually went to the hospital and was monitored for a few hours when I was around 25 weeks because they wouldn't go away.  Of course, it turned out to be a fun practical joke on the part of my son. :P

You can ground him when he is older for that!   :P

Trust me - that was nothing.  Wait until they're two and decide it's super fun to take off their diaper, whether or not it's dry or clean.  :-X

I have them too, and they freaked me out too, but my GP said they are completely normal, AS LONG as there is no bleeding (and even a little of that doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong).  So don't worry, I'm feeling the same thing!

Electrical tape takes care of that.  We had a spell where naked boy wouldn't keep his diaper on.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

Yup.  Fortunately it was a short-lived phase.  If only I could get away with taping his mittens on...

Reminds me of a joyous occasion when son woke up from a nap and took his nappy off and used the "CONTENTS" to create a beautiful wall painting made from poo.  I swore I could smell sh*t for a month after that....
