Cleaning Products While You're Pregnant
« on: December 16, 2005, 11:00:48 AM »
I was wondering what advice you can give on cleaning products.  I am not sure if some of the spray ones can be harmful, i.e. Mr. Kitchen, Mr. Bathroom.  They say not to inhale the fumes, so I'm just not sure.  I used some Mr. Kitchen this morning, but don't want to make it a regular thing.

I have a Dr. visit on Monday and am going to barrage him with questions like this!!!

I used those kinds of things when I was pregnant....I never used raw bleach tho.....

maybe that is what is wrong with my kids and now seem so brain dead......or is that just from being teenagers?

I wouldn't worry too much, you probably inhale worse walking down the street.  ;)

Thanks, you're probably both right!  I think being 37 and never being pregnant, I feel like, "I've come this far, let me not screw it up!"  Know what I mean????

I used it as an excuse for my husband having to clean the bathroom for nine months.  ;)

I'd say that if the fumes from a certain cleaning product make you feel queasy or dizzy, open up the window.

My husband changed the litter box during my first pregnancy, and then I very seriously told him that it wasn't allowed during breastfeeding either, so I got another year out of him!  But he was counting down the moments that he could pass the job back to me...
