Online Bus Fares and Schedules ?
« on: December 17, 2005, 04:10:37 PM »
So, the train schedules and fares are easily available online here like www.nationalrail.co.uk (just don't buy from Wessex trains or Trainline!!)

However, I cannot find bus schedules and fares online like that. Does anyone know of a site? To date, we've always had to get on the bus and ask the driver how much it will cost to a certain place, which can be surprisingly high.

sorry if this is a repost, the search function on this site isn't working very often so I can't check...

www.arrivabus.co.uk

I don't know if fares are avail onsite as they change...you have to be very specific about your destination to get the right fare locally
if you are buying an adult all all day pass for  local service arriva is £2.50, for countywide (in Leicestershire anyway) it's £4
weekly all county passes run from £11 up

inter~city coaches www.nationalexpress.com  has a searchable database of locations they serve and you can check fares by following the step by step instructions at left

hope that helps
