What a humbling experience this has been. :-/ When I left the states, I managed an Internet Banking department for the third largest bank (S/L) in California. Prior to that I had extensive call center management experience. I was on a very comfortable salary to say the least.
Well, I started searching for work at the end of September. I felt so lost - and I contacted Per Temps here in Taunton. I thought that they could give me guidance on the job market here - possibly some temp work - and if I was lucky, even a job.
What a great experience. They looked at my CV and were extremely enthusiastic about helping me find a job (they would make lots of money based on my salary history and requirements).
Well, after three interviews, I finally landed a job! It will do me some good to get out there, meet new people and do something other than clean and watch Des and Mel!
The pay is roughly $47,000.00 less that what I was earning in the states - but at least it's a start. Oh! And there is bonus opportunity too!!!
I get to start Monday!!!
