Hair

Can I ask if any of you had any uesful websites that you used to find ideas on how to wear your hair?  I am getting married in September (my dress has just arrived, I'm so excited!!) and I am now looking at what to do with my 'do!

I have a slim crystal headband instead of a tiara and a veil, my hair is about halfway down my back and I am torn between up or down, does anyone have any suggestions?

I would suggest making an appt. with your hairdresser, bringing the hair pieces, and doing some trials. The problem with looking at pictures is that the texture of your hair might not work with the styles that you choose, might not suit your face, etc.

I absolutely agree with what Anne suggested.  I did just that.  I had only a vague idea of what I wanted done.  My hair is fine but I have a lot of it, and it's naturally wavy-curly.  Together, that makes a great combination for frizz.  So, I already knew that many of the styles I saw in magazines were not going to work on me.  I also had a slim pearl and crystal headband, instead of a tiara.  (I don't need any more height.)  And I also had a single layer, elbow-length veil.  I knew I didn't want a real up-do, but something pulled back off my face.  With those criteria, the stylist was able to come up with something nice.

StuzMrs your hair sounds very much like mine, no matter how I try to tame it it keeps breaking free.  I am getting married in Gretna, so I may do a couple of trial runs here and get some photos and go up there see if they can do the same.

I had to be awkward and get married miles away from where I live!!

Is Gretna near any big-ish cities? It might work to go to a Toni & Guy or a Bumble & Bumble salon in London for trials and have them recommend the same sort of salon up north. I was going to a B&B salon in San Francisco and when I was looking for a stylist in London I found a B&B salon there - they already understood the sort of cut that I had and were able to follow what my guy in SF had started....

Gretna isn't too far from Carlisle, I might see what I can find in Newcastle that has something over there too, thanks!
