Scotland, here I come!!!
« on: December 01, 2003, 05:02:48 AM »
Hi Everyone!~

My name is Kristin, and I am a 22 year old American.  I am currently finishing up a degree in Elementary Education here in the States and will be moving to Scotland next winter to marry and live with my wonderful guy.  I am very excited and also very anxious about the move and all that has to be taken care of before then. ???

I can't wait to meet all of you and get to know you better.  Some of the posts I've read have already been a huge help.  Feel free to IM me or ask questions, etc. ;D

Hi Kristin!

Welcome to the site.  My husband is half Scottish and I look forward to going there some day. For right now we are in the USA and planning on moving one day in the near future.

I wish you the best of luck in your move and keep us posted on what happens!

Hiya Kristin.  Welcome to UK Yankee.  Well we love to ask questions.  Have you been to Scotland to visit yet?  Where abouts in Scotland?  I know how you feel about all the details you must see to.  Plus you have a wedding to plan.  Isn't it great though that you can find a place that really could answer pretty much anything you can think of.  It really is a comfort.

Kristin, I'm going to visit my fiance in 30 days.  I'm going thru Heathrow and then on to Wales!  Funny huh.  I think if you get married there you will find things cheaper.  Your video guy and photographer will sure be cheaper but then again you'll have other expenses if your family and friends go there to see you married.  Its sort of a 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other.  See if you can price some things there while you are on vacation.  Then again when you get back.  That might be the most pointed way to decide.  You can't really argue with the numbers before you.
