Update: Glasgow PEO guy says I should try to get address proofs
« Reply #15 on: January 17, 2006, 01:22:26 PM »
I called Glasgow PEO yesterday to see whether they wanted me there at 8:30AM until 11 or actually to arrive between those two times (It was the latter). I asked the (very helpful) bloke on the phone whether I should have address proofs for myself, and he said that anything that proved that I was resident in the place would be good. So, my husband wrote the council yesterday asking them to please put me on the rolls send a letter confirming I'd been added. We will also be attempting to put me on his bank account, making it a joint account, and maybe seeing if we can get a letter from the bank to that effect. Also getting two friends (the wedding witnesses actually) to write letters saying that yes, we both live here together and have a relationship. Will also be bringing christmas cards, a Boots prescription and a few other things that have my address. appointment's the 31st, wish me luck.
