Aer Lingus

Anyone flown w/them?  My tickets are already booked, but if anyone would be willing to share their experiences I'd appreciate it!
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Overall, they're pretty good!  They are an economy-type airline, though, so don't expect a huge amount of legroom or seatback TV screens.  The food can also be a bit hit or miss as well, so you may want to bring a sandwich or some snacks for yourself.  But their staff is very attentive, their flights usually run on schedule, and they've never lost my luggage (touch wood!).  Also, their overage charges were very reasonable, I thought -- just 30 quid per suitcase --which was very handy when I was moving back to the States!  I've flown them several times from Edinburgh-Dublin-Chicago and was always satisfied.

One thing I really liked about flying with them from Dublin to Chicago is that my passport got stamped at Dublin airport, which saved a lot of time upon arrival.  I didn't have to wait in a huge queue, just went straight towards the baggage carousels!

I flew them from LHR-Shannon Shannon-NYC

Shannon is a tiny airport with not much going on, so dont get yourself a 2.5 hour layover like me!

The long haul you get food, short hauls you buy food

they were nice, you have communal TV which sucks but the programming was good.

You got to clear immigration at Shannon and miss the line at NYC!  That was great.

I flew back with them from the USA. Well a few weeks ago. I flew from Brum to Dublin and then to Chicago. The plane was clean, the crew very nice, the food was good, and more importantly they were ON TIME! Im booking tix to the USA in May with them.  [smiley=clover2.gif]

I flew them roundtrip from Baltimore to Shannon (back when AerLingus still flew to Baltimore).  They are fine. No better or worse than any other airline.

I had a nice experience with them from BWI to Shannon as well, back in autumn of 2000.
