Clearblue tests...LH
« on: January 18, 2006, 08:30:33 PM »
Has anyone used the Clearblue easy ovulation tests?  Any opinions? They are freaking expensive for 7 days of testing and no refills so if you don't get pregnant the first time you have to keep buying them.

I think I might stick to just using charts.   :-\\\\

I never used them, but did ask my OB about them. She told me that unless I was rich, to just wait a few months to use them. If after a few months we weren't still pregnant, *then* bring out the kit. It won't hurt anything to use it of course, and could help you get pregnant sooner, but will definitely deplete your pocketbook!

I used them.  TBH though temping is fine, though you need to do it a few months to start seeing a pattern and such as to when you ovulate.  After awhile I didnt need to temp either.  Though I used the sticks my SIL had left over since she got pregnant her first month.  I got pregnant as well the fist time I used hers as well.  though I had used them before and I also used the internet ones you can get off ebay.  They are much cheaper, but IMHO they didn't work as well.

Well I tried one today though I know I shouldn't until later this week.  Glad I did because trying to get the thing in the stream is a pain.   :-X  I've got 6 more and fingers crossed won't need too many months of them.

I'm using other methods as well... temp and cervical.

Sorry if this is TMI for people, but I am a bit of a research maniac.  Plus it might help someone one day.  :)

Oh and it's too funny because with the digital one you get a smiley face for when you reach your LH surge.   ;D

I was WAY too lazy for all that stuff.  Plus, I've always been stony skint.  I was the one who couldn't afford a pregnancy test back w/Aillidh, so by the time I found out I was big time late.

I didn't bother either though if it had taken more than a couple months would have considered it. Temps and cervical stuff were all I needed.

Your body temp rises just before you ovulate and drops when your period starts. I'm sure there's a link for it somewhere. But honestly, we thought it would take AGES for me to get pregnant (for some medical reasons) but the reality was all he had to do was look at me naked and I was up the duff!  ;)
