Hello!

Hello everyone!

My name is Erin and I am moving from Michigan to England in January.  I have been dating my English fiance for four years and we are getting married in March.  I'm excited to get to know some fellow ex pats and find some answers to questions that I'm sure I'll have as I get used to life in England!

Congrats!!!! I am from Michigan too! Planning on moving to England in May or so next year. What city are you from?

9/11/2012 Husband mailed his US citizenship application.
9/17/2012 Received e-mail stating his application has been entered into the system.
9/22/2012 Hubby received letter with date for finger printing.
10/12/12 Hubby went for finger printing.
10/26/12 Dh got a letter stating when he should appear for his interview and test- 11/27/12- just a month away!!!
11/27/12 We went to dh's interview and test- he passed and we went back 4 hours later for the Oath Ceremony! 95 people from 38 countries, really pretty cool!
So he's now a US citizen!!

I haven't a clue yet where we will end up. Suppose it has a lot to do with where my husband lands a job...
Have you been to Nuneaton before? If so how did you like it?

I've spent a lot of time in Nuneaton.  I did a study abroad thing there for a few months (which is how I met the boy) and have visited lots.  It's probably not the most exciting place in the world, but it's a similar size to where I'm from and I feel pretty comfortable there.  Still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that I'm actually going to live there though, it feels like I'm just going for another visit!
