coach trips/tours for senior citizens?
« on: January 26, 2006, 11:03:09 AM »
Hi

Someone posted about coach trips about a year or so ago and I was wondering if there was any new info out there.  My parents will be coming for 3 weeks in April and they would like to do some traveling in the UK while they're here.  They are both in their 70's, so I'm looking for tours aimed at seniors (budget, not too much walking & getting on and off the coach).  I'm hoping to find something that includes coach, tour guide, meals and accommodation. Can anyone recommend any companies?

Thanks.

I dont know where you are in the UK but we took a Harry Shaw coach trip to Paris for the weekend when I first moved here. It was £59 per person and it included our travel, hotel and a guided tour of Paris and on the way home we stopped in Versailles. It was very nice but coach travel isnt really for me. Ouch my aching bum!   [smiley=bootyshake.gif]

Try www.saga.co.uk (for over 50s). I think they do some holiday type things.

Wallace Arnold/Shearings are very very good...........

they go all over the world. Their new coaches are ultra comfy!

My parents love coach trips and have taken Tauck tours in the U.S. and UK. They are not specifically for seniors, but most of the clients are senior. My mom has slight disabilities that make it hard for her to get around easily and Tauck has always been very accomodating to her.
