How long DOES paperwork take after the wedding?

Hi Everybody!

Well, the wedding plans were set for Monday April 17th, but now we are concerned about my ability to stay in the UK! My Visa is dated April 26th. Right after the wedding we have to apply for me to stay, but how long does it take? Paul is in a panic, worried that I'll have to go home.

Considering a small civil ceremony in February and then a "wedding" in April.....

Any advice? suggestions?

If you apply for your FLR (M) visa by post the average is about 4 weeks but could take up to 12 weeks. If it expires while they're still processing your application,don't worry thats ok. Just as long as they have it by the expiration date,you'll be fine
