Sleep at last!
« on: January 29, 2006, 09:42:20 AM »
Well, my DS is now 9 months old and last night he slept through the night for the first time!  He has been waking up every 1.5-3 hours since he was born, and it was starting to take it's toll on me.  I've been cutting out feeds and letting him put himself back to sleep and it finally worked!!!  I woke up at 5 this morning and didn't know what to do with myself.  He finally woke at 7 in such a happy mood.  Long may it last!

That's awesome...hurrah for sleep!

Do you mind if I ask what DS is? I see people saying DS & DH and all these other shorted letters. It's confusing!  :o

Great news Kathleen!! I remember when Ethan first started sleeping through I would still wake up like you.  Now he sometimes lets me have a really good lie in and sleeps through til 9 or even 10.

DS = dear son  DH = dear husband and so on and so on. :)

Thanks everyone.  Just put him down for the night and fingers crossed, will only see him in the morning!  Hope everyone has a good night!  Tell Roisin to get some sleep tonight!

She went down for 3AM again this morning.

She's just a tiny 7 week old.

We got spoiled w/Aillidh, but of course, you usually get one good sleeper and the other not.

Congrats on getting a good night sleep.  It's excellent when it happens.  Alex has been sleeping through since he was 8 weeks.  I not the type to be getting up all hours of the night, I was so happy.  Hope your son continues. :)
The day I met my son is the day I became me.  I thank him for that.
