Sardinia hotel recommendations
« on: March 16, 2006, 04:46:03 PM »
Anyone have any places they've liked?  I should mention we're flying into Alghero so around there would be best.  Assuming we don't need to get a car?

Thanks all!

OOHH I just booked someone there this week..they are staying in the Merineeda hotel..........it looks lovely!!!

But that was a package holiday...

Geetak try tripadvisor I use them ALOT........if there are say 10 ppl that have given a say about a property and maybe 2/3 has given it a bad review i would say they are being picky but if over half say it is crap then I don't book the hotel!

MeShell,

Thanks for the suggestion to take a look at TripAdvisor!!! I think you probably saved our holiday!

Earlier this week I book a five night stay at a hotel in West Yorkshire..we were splashing out big time on cost £155 a night (yes cringe but we really need a rest out in the country). YIKES - I just read the reviews and plan to cancel our reservation! Apparently it touts itself on being a luxury hotel but reading the reviews it appears it falls down big time on luxury.

Hi geetak,

We stay at the Forte village in Sardinia. It is fantastic resort. Unfortunately it is on the otherside of the island,3hr drive. One of my colleages is from Sardinia. If you have questions about specific places he might be able to help. He will have a look online to see if anywhere jumps out.

Marrakesh was great! 75 degrees during the day! If you go I will recommend a few places! I think I will be able to make drinks this time. Count me in.
