ok...so now i'm really confused....doesn't caffeine act as a diuretic of sorts?  if this is the case, and if you chose to "quench your thrist with coffee"....wouldn't one just be more thirsty afterwards?

i'm just not falling for their claim that soft drinks help hydrate you as much as water does.....

This is their answer from the wesbite Q&A

Q&A
Is it true that caffeinated beverages can help keep me hydrated?
While older studies show that caffeine can have a mild, short-term diuretic effect in individuals who do not normally consume caffeine, more recent studies have shown that this is not the case for people who regularly consume caffeine. As a result, a report on water needs released in 2004 by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences concluded that all beverages, including those with caffeine, contribute to hydration.

so basically, for those regular caffeine drinkers you're staying hydrated!

I can't believe this site.

How ridiculous...I mean come on, yes it's true anything is better than NO liquid at all...but coffee?  That's sad.

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Oh my god j you're right!!!  No wonder I have been dying of thirst all this time!  It's the horrible toe that's been sucking my hydration!  I will remedy that tomorrow with some coffee and vodka.
