Newbie, moving US to UK
« on: February 11, 2006, 03:29:55 AM »
Sorry if this is covered, just give me the search terms!

I am UK citizen, wife is US. In US, GC just approved, thinking of whether to relocate to UK in the future.

Married two years, know that things are relatively straightforward when we have been married for four. Any suggestions as to how long in advance to apply for leave to remain indefinitely?

What are the steps if we want to move back before then (i.e. before we've been married for four years)? How long should we look at waiting for the visa?

Final cheeky one - what if we want to move to another euro country?

Cheers

Welcome to UKY and good luck with your plans, whichever you choose.

Search terms: ILR

You should get tons of hits on that. I know it'll be a lot to slog through but we've all done it and it's amazing the amount of info you pick up from reading those past threads. A little here, a little there and sooner or later, it starts to gel in your head.  :D
