Well Chris was put onto my HSBC account finally the paper work came through and we now have joint banking, It took a week for them to sort it all out for us they are a really good bank, I would say anyone wanting a joint account go to them I already had the account open but even so they do not take to long to sort it out for you and the branch I went into where great.
You will need your passport that is all Chris had to take in with us I just had to do a letter, I think if you are starting afresh you would need proof of address etc.
