What is the visa you got in NY? Is is Further Leave to Remain for 2 years? if so at the end of the two years you are supposed to apply to the Home Office for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

from your post it sounds like you never got leave to remain after your fiancee visa expired- is that right?  You were supposed to apply for 2 years permission to stay after you got married and then after that expired you then could have applied for indefinite leave to remain (permanent residence).  If you've been overstaying on a fiancee visa for almost three years, things could get very sticky- have you been working?

This is definitely one for garry or victoria...
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

What does the most recent stamp in your passport say?  The words.  It won't help to tell what it looks like because those visas have changed appearance several times since 2003...

Also, in what part of the UK are you now?
