Spousal visa help!

So here's the situation...

My fiance and I finally got married on Saturday.   

He entered the US on a K-1 visa, as we had originally intended to remain here.  Now, we don't.  We'd like to move back home!

I am ready to apply for a spousal visa for the UK, but I have some questions...as he is unemployed at the moment (as the K-1 allows you to settle but he has no work authorization yet) and we are going to be living with his mum, what do we do about sponsoring?  The visa form online looks nice and straightforward (especially compared to the scary DHS forms for getting a US visa!) but there's no way for someone to co-sponsor.  Obviously I'm coming over as his wife and that is my basis for settlement but we have no income to speak of and no bank statements that say anything happy to support this.  His mum makes a decent wage-enough for all three of us-and of course we will have jobs once we get there, but how can we apply for and receive a visa at this point?  I'm so confused!

 

From everything I've learned, you'll have to get his mom to write a letter saying she will support you until you two find work.  Also, she'll need to supply three months of her bank statements, and any savings statements.
You should also include your CVs, showing you will be able to find a job.  I'd suggest going to the UK visa website and calling them (it does cost $2.10/min though  ) if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your help!  We had expected the bank statements/financial support documents would be necessary (as they were for the US visa).  After going through the process for his K-1 visa we're pretty much prepared for anything!  Thanks for your input, we will do just that.

I don't I made it clear, but your husband must still be your main sponsor.  Your MIL is just like a co-sponsor, although they really don't have that. 
Also, in case you didn't know, you'll need a certified copy of a mortgage or deed as well, and a letter from your MIL saying you can reside there for the time being.

Yes, that was the way I filled in the form, with my husband as my main sponsor.  We did know about needing the certified copy of the mortgage, so that wasn't a problem.  I was just confused because of the really not having a place to put a co-sponsor on the application, whereas the US visa was very clear about that.  Thanks again for clarifying things!

There's a part that says, will you receive financial help from anyone else.  You should put yes and then include the info!

You don't need a certificed copy of the actual mortgage agreement.  A letter from the bank confirming that there is a mortgage will do.

Your mother in law should rpovide 3 months of pay slips as well.

If they told you that, it was bad advice. 

What is a certified copy of mortgage? I have a letter from the bank stating I have a mortgage with them how much it is for how long I have to go I think on it.

is this correct just incase I need to re call them and ask for a copy of the deeds.

No, that is all you need.

What if you own the house and have a deed?  What proof do you need to give them for it?  Thanks!

The helpline is such rubbish! I had a lady keep me on hold fot 40 minutes then came back on the phone to tell me I needed to bring an ultrasound picture to my appointment to prove my pregnancy with my husband!

I need the original deed? Because its not my house, but its my husband's grandparent's home.  I feel weird getting the original deed from them.
