SO EXCITED!!!!! Skiing in the French Alps
« on: January 20, 2006, 05:10:14 PM »
So i am a bit of a spoiled brat.  I admit it.  I get to stay at swank places for work. Travel business class.  I love it.  It's the best.  I'm lucky and know it.  Usually when dave and i travel, we stay at interesting places....always beautiful etc.

Well.  My friend from work asked, since we're in paris next week for work if i wanted to ski the alps.  So, after an afternoon of searching, this is what we're doing:

my colleague and i are taking a bus from paris at 10PM, on the friday.  sleeping on the bus overnight. getting to the ski resort (meribel)  at 7, have breakfast. drop stuff and hotel and ski!

have 1 night at hotel, then leave the ski resort on the sunday night via bus and get into paris on the monday morning so i can be at work by lunchtime!!!!!

I am such a diva about travel. And we're going to be sleeping on a bus that converts to bunk beds!!!!! How fun!!!

Going around those alps turns...yikes!  I am so excited!!!!!

The kicker.  The trip from paris, the hotel, the trip back.  Is £120.00 each!  And rental and ski pass another £75.00.......

We are SO PUMPED!!!!!  My father and Dave are a wreck and they can not believe i am doing it!!!!!

Hehe.  I am the sponsorship and events manager for a very profitable (and very agressive) product under a british bank.  I work for the 'american' arm of it.

I have to say, it is really nice to go business everywhere...even on short haul flights to switzerland and amsterdam.  i just get so spoiled i turn my nose up when we travel for personal reasons! hehehehehe.
